The ASP Barcode Server Component for IIS is a COM product that easily adds barcoding capability to web pages and Internet applications when installed on Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows.NET Internet Information Server with Active Server Pages enabled. This implementation is compatible with all browsers and is easy to embed in HTML as an image with the <IMG> tag, example. Because the image is specified as a URL, it may also be used from other operating systems and servers.

The ASP Barcode Server Component for IIS is easy to
install and use:
- Install the ASP Barcode Server Component for IIS package on your Microsoft® IIS server and copy the files ending in ASP to a directory on the IIS server where Active Server Pages are enabled.
- Verify the barcode component is working by entering the URL of the ASP file you copied.

Call the asp file from your web page as an image. For example

Features of the Barcode Server Component Advantage Packages Include:
- Easy to Install - just run the install utility and copy the asp files to directories where Active Server Pages are enabled.
- Easy to Use - use server-side scripting, JavaScript or static HTML to include barcodes in your web pages with the IMG tag.
- No Temp Files Used - no temporary files are created on the server, the resulting barcode image is sent directly to the browser as a binary stream which results in greater performance. Run-time write access to the IIS server is not required.
- Fast and Efficient - the barcode and image processing components were written in Visual C++ for increased performance. Because temporary files are not created on the server, there are no resource intensive file cleanups performed.
- ASP and ASP.NET Compatible - works on any version of IIS that supports Active Server Pages. Because ASP.NET is backward compatible with traditional ASP, our product will work well (and has been tested) on the Microsoft ASP.NET Framework.
- Compatible with all Web Browsers - because an image is generated on the server, it is compatible with all web browsers that can view JPEG images including early versions of Internet Explorer, Mosaic and Netscape.
- Support for JPEG, BMP or PNG. JPEG is the default image type.
- Precise Image Control - the advanced properties of the component allow you specify the pixel size of the resulting barcode image, or allow the component to automatically size the image.
- Many Adjustable Properties - several properties may be adjusted such as the symbology type, orientation, color, barcode height, X dimension and others.
- ActiveX Control Included - also included in this package is the ActiveX Control. ActiveX controls are easy to use automation tools that work well with Microsoft® Access, MS Office, Word, Excel, Visual Basic and C++. - Complete UCC/EAN 128 Support - we provide easy methods to add application identifiers into Code 128 for UCC-128 barcodes that also format to the correct human-readable text. Read more about this...
- Code 128 ASCII Options - the code 128 symbology in this product allows easy encoding of returns, tabs and other functions between fields in a single barcode symbol. In Code 128 Auto, you can use the format ăddd (where ă is ASCII 0227 and ddd is a 3 digit number) to specify the ASCII code of the character to be encoded. For example, Codeă009Bară013 will create a barcode that encodes Code<Tab Function>Bar<Return Function> in the barcode. For other functions, refer to the ASCII chart.
- Advanced Functions - advanced use of the graphic API allows barcode creation in several different file types including JPG, PNG, TGA, TIF, PCX, BMP, PSD, EMF and WMF.
- Supports UPS Barcodes - the Maxicode component provided supports UPS Maxicode symbols including compressed Maxicode.
- Source Code - we will supply the C++ source code if you purchase 3 Developer Licenses and sign the source code license agreement.

Licensing and Pricing:
Make sure your product is properly licensed. Software audits are performed internationally by several organizations.
The following is a summary of licensing and pricing, refer to the License Agreement for details about the license.
- Small Company Developer License: With this license, the rights of the Developer License are granted to all organizations with a gross annual revenue or funding of less than 2 million U.S. Dollars (or equivalent amount in a foreign currency) if that company purchases either two (2) Single User Licenses for the same product or the Small Company Developer License and sends us a signed Small Company Agreement which is located at http://www.idautomation.com/sca/.
- The Developer License allows one developer royalty-free distribution of the Software internally (in the same organization) and externally (outside the organization bundled with an application) up to 10,000 user licenses, provided you adhere to the Developer License distribution terms. When distributing our components outside your organization, you may not resell, rent, lease or distribute the components alone, they must be bundled with an application or with the application's installation files. For details, review the distribution terms. If you have more than one developer that will be developing applications using the components, you will need to purchase a Developer License for each additional developer.
- The 5 Developer License grants the rights of the Developer License for up to 5 developers and 20,000 user licenses. This license is also granted if two Developer Licenses are purchased.
- The Unlimited Developer License grants the rights of the Developer License for an unlimited number of developers and an unlimited number of user licenses. This license is also granted if three Developer Licenses are purchased. With this license, the source code can be supplied if you sign the source code license agreement.
- The Single Server License allows use of the Software on one (1) server in your organization, where a single server may have only 1 CPU and up to 100 unique user accesses to the Software per day. A Single Server License is required for each additional server. Additional Single Server Licenses may also be obtained for the same server to increase the requirements. For example, 2 Single Server Licenses allow up to 2 CPUs and up to 200 unique user accesses to the Software per day on the same server. If the Software is not used on a server, the licensing options of the Single User License may be used where 1 Single Server License = 1 Single User License.
- We offer free technical support and product upgrades for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase on all software products. Technical support and product upgrades may be provided beyond 30 days if the Extended Support and Upgrade Protection option is purchased when you order.
